UbiSoft confirms Assassin’s Creed: Victory

Next year’s Assassin’s Creed game will take place in London during the 19th century.

Still reeling from the fallout from Assassin’s Creed: Unity, Ubisoft has been hit with another problem, and that’s the leak of next year’s instalment in the yearly series.

Coming via Kotaku, and now spread all over the Internet, it’s been revealed that the next game will be Assassin’s Creed: Victory, and it’ll be set in Victorian London.

There’s a selection of screens that Kotaku revealed, along with details from a gameplay video. According to this report, the new game’s protagonist will boast new moves, such as a new grappling hook, and action will include fights atop moving vehicles, such as horse-drawn carriages and trains, and disguises can be donned in the middle of a mission.

It’s also been revealed that Victory will be headed up by Ubisoft Quebec, making this the studio’s first full Assassin’s Creed title. The team previously developed DLC for Assassin’s Creed III and Black Flag. Victory will also be the only game in the series next year, with no last gen version planned, like this year’s Rogue.

After the leak, Ubisoft issued a response, confirming that Victory is, indeed, legitimate.
