(From Lost at e Minor) A lot of thought goes into getting a tattoo… right? Well, in the case of a few strangers, they don’t get any say in what kind of tattoo they get. In fact, they’re sliding their arms into a mysterious hole so a famous tattoo artist can ink whatever he likes on their skin.
For his project Whole Glory, Scott Campbell sits behind a wall. When an arm is placed inside the hole, he tattoos that arm, plain and simple. No communication is allowed and the tattoo recipient doesn’t get to see the design until it’s finished.
This wild installation was held at New York’s Milk Gallery and 25 participants were chosen through a lottery system.
