(From Metro) Star Wars: Episode 8 has just started filming and the spoilers are already starting to trickle in.
There was a rumour floating around that Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker, would be killed off in The Force Awakens but it looks like that was just a false alarm. Phew.
The actor has been spotted on the set of the new film off the coast of Ireland on Skellig Michael.
Irish Examiner is reporting that a cast and crew of over 100 people are on location although bad weather meant that the first day of the shoot cancelled.
Hamill’s son, Nathan, has also been seen checking into a nearby hotel.
The actor was on Skellig Michael last year to shoot scenes for Episode 7 although reports have emerged that he slipped and had to be rescued from a dangerous fall on the mountainside.
According to The Sunday Times, he would have been a ‘goner’ if it wasn’t for a quick-thinking guide who saved him.
Rian Johnson is directing Star Wars: Episode 8, which is slated for a May 26, 2017 release.
