Princess Leia is back for Star Wars VII

(From Blastr) The mystery surrounding J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode VII is starting to lift, as we now know at least one original cast member is officially back to battle evil forces in the new trilogy.

Carrie Fisher, who portrayed Princess Leia in the original trilogy, told Palm Beach Illustrated that she will reprise her role in Episode VII.

When asked point blank, she set the geek world on fire with a simple confirmation: “Yes.”

Rumors have swirled that original stars Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Fisher would return to ease the transition to a new generation of freedom fighters.

With Fisher’s return (apparently) confirmed, its likely the rest of the gang will also be back in some capacity.
