New York garbage for sale

(From Lost at E Minor) As they say, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.

Artist Justin Gignac enterprisingly started selling city garbage “hand-picked from the fertile streets of New York” in 2001 after a colleague questioned the merits of package design.

He’s proven his point since, shifting over 1,400 classy units of New York City trash to buyers from over 25 countries.

The regular units sell for $50 each, while limited edition ones from events like Obama’s inauguration go for double the usual asking price.
