Netflix gives ‘A Series Of Unfortunate Events’ a season 3

It’s being reported that Netflix has ordered a season three for their adaptation of Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events.

If that sounds strange and unexpected to you, you’re not alone. This is because season one of the show was released on Netflix in January, and season two was officially ordered by Netflix less than a month ago.

Unlike season two, which Netflix announced with a video and a note, it’s TV Line reporting that the streaming service also quietly ordered a third season. A spokesperson for Netflix did not comment on the report.

The thinking is all 13 books in the series will be covered in three seasons of A Series of Unfortunate Events, with two episodes dedicated to each book.
