‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 promo art features Jon Snow

jon snow

HBO has released the promo art for the upcoming Season 6 of their wildly popular series Game of Thrones, and it features the one and only Jon Snow!

The images sees a close-up of the bastard child of Winterfell and current Lord Commander of the Nights Watch looking downward, his eyes obscured by darkness, as blood runs down his face.

Snow was presumed dead at the end of Season 5 when during the season 6 finale back in June some of his men betrayed him, each taking turns to stab him, then leaving him lying bleeding in the snow.

Of course, fan speculation and wishful thinking has been that Snow is NOT dead, or if he did die, perhaps he will somehow be brought back to life. Many people pointed out that the final shot of Jon Snow saw him laying in the snow with his eyes open, but that his eyes changed color at the last second. In this first promo, Snow’s eyes aren’t seen, so perhaps there was something there and the showrunners are going to keep us guessing. It’s a long way til April, so expect to see a lot more teases and clues coming for the new season.

Now, with the reveal of this promo art, it seems as though we’re getting a promise that Jon Snow will return in Season 6 somehow.
