(From Lost at e Minor) In Tokyo’s Akihabara district, a group of entrepreneurs have taken the concept of maid cafes and put it on steroids. The MAID GYM offers clients a good workout assisted by beautiful trainers dressed in maid costumes.
Just imagine: instead of serving you tea, these maids will help you get swole by spotting you and cheering you on – all the while satisfying your odd servant-master fetish.
The concept has already proven popular with the public, already having raised about AUS$9,000 (US$6,800) on local crowdfunding site Campfire. No news yet on when the establishment will open.
Just like maid cafes, customers are expected to pay a premium. A single 50-minute workout will set clients back some AUS$87 (US$66), with an AUS$116 (US$88) membership fee before the first workout.
