New poster for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

(From Den of Geek) Since the trailer was released a few weeks’ back, things have gone quiet for a while where The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is concerned.
That’s not a big surprise – the film itself isn’t out until November, after all.
However, Lionsgate is keeping things ticking over with the release of a new poster for the movie, over which Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss stands tall.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is being directed by Francis Lawrence, and the exact release date is marked for November 22nd.

Kitty race of Star Wars Universe

(From Kotaku) In case you just hopped on the MMO bandwagon with the release of Star Wars: The Old Republic, it’s not a massively multiplayer party until the anthropomorphic animals arrive.
The original EverQuest had the Vah Shir, World of Warcraft has Worgen and now Pandas, and The Old Republic has the Cathar, a race of intergalactic kitty people.
It’s difficult to pinpoint exactly where the Cathar first appeared in Star Wars history.
The most famous gaming Cathar is Juhani from Knights of the Old Republic, a Jedi member of a Cathar sub-species that doesn’t look quite as furry as the ones we’ll be playing now.
The Cathar are fierce warriors and incredibly loyal, so if you’re going to roleplay them having sex, don’t be slutty.
The Cathar are available as a player character race with the game update 2.1 for The Old Republic, which also adds all sorts of dyes and new customization options. Hooray!

Batman has always taken out the trash in Gotham City with his mad ninja skillz, and the Batman DC Comics Play Arts Kai Variant Action Figure shows us what the vigilante would look like if he took on the look of a ninja… a heavily-armored ninja.
This new variant look for the Dark Knight is even more intimidating than Bats’ normal style, especially with those enhanced bladed on the gauntlets. Ouch!

For $400, you can get one; $200 now, $200 when they’re ready to ship.
They say they’re only making 200 of them, so you’ll have to reserve yours quickly.

Borderlands 2 PC Case

(From Technabob) Inspired by the weapon and ammo caches in the game, CrazyLefty has turned his PC into something the wastelands of Pandora could be proud of.
It’s brightly colored, filled with dents and grime and even has a cel-shaded look.
The tower is a Cooler Master HAF 932. CrazyLefty applied white and black primer, a metallic gray coat, a yellow coat and a white stripe.
Then his wife used a black Sharpie to create the convincing cel-shaded effect. Then they used a hammer and a Dremel to grind and dent the case.
As a final touch, CrazyLefty added a few rivets on one side of the case.
They also made a carrying case for his keyboard and made it look like a DAHL dumpster.
He said they used ketchup, tea and coffee grinds to give the case a fresh Pandora look. And stench.
