‘Deadpool’ red band trailer

(From Geeks of Doom) The Deadpool trailer has finally arrived. For some, it’s been too long of a wait, especially since the character was completely wasted in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

But 11 years later, dedicated fans, and a certain someone who leaked the video, convinced Fox that a Deadpool that was true to the source material was worth it.

“One year ago, it was some asshole who released the footage onto the internet,” said Ryan Reynolds. The actor couldn’t even believe that 20th Century Fox would let him make a R-rated superhero movie.

Deadpool also stars Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T.J. Miller, Gina Carano, and Brianna Hildebrand.

Directed by Tim Miller using a script written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, Fox will release the film into theaters on February 16, 2016.
