AMC has found their male lead for the upcoming The Walking Dead companion series, which is set during the same zombie apocalypse seen in the ongoing primary series but in a different location.

Starring in the series, which is currently untitled and going by the code name Cobalt, will be Cliff Curtis, who will play a divorced teacher who tries hard to be good to everyone in his life.

He joins the first two recently cast actors, Frank Dillane (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) and Alycia Debnam Carey (Into the Storm), who play the children of the not-yet-cast female lead.
