A huge replica of The Giant Warrior

giant warrior statue 1

It’s been announced that from November 17, 2012, the theatrical release of “Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo” will be shown together with an extended theatrical edition of the “A Giant Warrior Descends on Tokyo” short “tokusatsu” special effects film produced by Studio Ghibli!

In commemoration of this special event, the “Giant Warrior Statue Replica” will again be available for limited-time preorder.

Studio Ghibli’s newest short special effects film ‘A Giant Warrior Descends on Tokyo’ is being screened at Anno Hideaki’s Special Effects exhibition, and from that film comes this huge model of the Giant Warrior.

The model is based on a life-size puppet of the Giant Warrior that was used for special effects in the film, made into a miniaturized replica for fans to enjoy.

Takayuki Takeya is behind the beautiful sculpting of the model itself, the base it stands on as well as the rod of light it holds.

The model measures an amazing 50cm from head to toe and is made from polystone which allows for incredibly delicate and detailed sculpting – all in all creating a model that fans will be proud to own!

You can pre-order this giant statue from Good Smile Company.
