A 100-year-old church is converted into a skate park

Kaos Temple

(From Lost at e Minor) The church of Santa Barbara in Llanera, Spain, was designed in 1912 but after years of abandonment, the church had started to crumble out of neglect. While many a church is left to dilapidate, this one was given new life by a collective called the ‘Church Brigade’.

Church Brigade had some help from online fundraising and Red Bull, and turned the church into a public skate park they named Kaos Temple.

Artist Okuda San Miguel was commissioned to cover the walls of Kaos Temple with his artwork, and he did not disappoint. The entire church is now filled with a kaleidoscope of colour in beautiful geometric designs.
